Mom's three pieces → one diamond and sapphire station necklace

The story

These came to Mandy together and sat together. The bypass ring was heavy and very much her mom's era, the sapphire band wasn't her style, and the Mickey studs were sweet but not something she'd wear out. She didn't want three things in a drawer. She wanted one thing she could put on without thinking about it.

What we kept

• The center diamond from the bypass ring
• The four marquise sapphires
• The smaller diamonds, bezel-set as stations along the chain

What we let go

• The florentine-finish band
• The pavé crescent
• The Mickey silhouettes

The piece: Yellow gold cable chain. Center round diamond, four marquise sapphires and accent diamonds, all original.
