Her father's enamel cuff links → a monogrammed bracelet

The story
Jessica's father wore these. Nobody in the family wears cuff links now, and nobody could bring themselves to get rid of them either, so they sat in the tray. She didn't want them framed on a wall. She wanted to wear him.
What we kept
- Five of his enamel faces — the striped ovals and the red guilloché
- His initials, J.L.F., engraved on a new gold oval
What we let go
- The cuff link backs and stud posts
- The odd singles that didn't make the set

The piece: Yellow gold links, five vintage enamel cuff link faces, engraved oval plaque.
Client: Jessica
My job isn't to preserve the setting, it's to preserve the person.
